Patience
How patient are you with yourself, with others, with life, with technology?
Are you patient with some and not with others?
Let’s start with yourself. How patient are you with yourself? Because that is the root of all patients.
Be thoughtful, caring, considerate of yourself. Accept and understand that you don’t know everything (well not on this level anyway).
You are learning day by day; every experience brings you more wisdom.
So when you have a choice, make that choice the best you can with the knowledge that you have at the time.
Having made your choice and acted on it, you are likely to learn more. Be patient with yourself and don’t think you made a mistake when you acted with the best of intentions, with the knowledge that you had.
You’ve learnt, accept it, appreciate it, move on from it.
How patient are you with others? For many of you, you are going to be more patient with others than you are with yourself because of your understanding and acceptance.
But we, you have no idea what is going on in other people’s lives, so be patient with them. If it is essential to be firm with them, then be form but that firm can be a patient, loving firm, rather than an impatient firm.
Technology – how patient are you with technology?
I am hearing chuckles as you read this or hear this because we appreciate that for many of you, technology can be very frustrating.
So, be patient with yourself when things do not appear to be going your way with technology. Go with the flow, take a break, move away from it, breathe deeply, it will all come out in the wash. Sometimes the break is what you require.
How much patience do you have in different situations, traffic jams, anything that holds you up, that you can’t see a reason for but there obviously is one, situations that move you out of your comfort zone?
Again, it isn’t about patience with the situation, it’s about patience with yourself, about understanding that there are things in life that are outside your control. Be patient, be understanding, be accepting that there is nothing you can do, so you might just as well relax.
Time goes quicker when you are relaxed, if you are stressed, time is there in front of you and you can’t see an end to it. Flow with life, accept what is, especially if there is nothing you can do to change it.
Flow, let your life be guided and trust the experiences that you have.
